Shui On expanded its business into the Chinese Mainland in as early as 1985. It has since built a sizeable portfolio of property development and investment projects in Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou. Projects completed include office buildings, residential apartments, commercial complexes and hotels.


 
Shui On Plaza, Shanghai
 

Shui On Plaza is a 26-storey Grade A office and commercial development comprising a total gross floor area of over 78,000 square metres including 30,000 square metres of commercial space. Strategically located on Huai Hai Zhong Road, it is one of Shanghai's most prestigious office buildings. Since its completion in early 1997, it has achieved over 95% occupancy with tenants consisting mainly of major multinational corporations. This project has won the "Bai Yu Lan" and "Lu Ban" Awards, the highest acclaims for building construction in Shanghai and the Chinese Mainland, respectively.





 
Rui Hong Xin Cheng, Shanghai
 

Rui Hong Xin Cheng is a domestic housing development located on a 40-hectare site in Shanghai's Hongkou district. With a gross floor area of 1.8 million square metres when fully completed, the development sets a new standard of modern living for Shanghai residents. The first three blocks of the development had been completed in March 1999. Another four blocks are due for completion in mid-2000.





 
Shanghai Xintiandi
 

Shanghai Xintiandi is a mixed-use development project located at the city center of Shanghai, one block south of the prestigious Huai Hai Zhong Road and its Metro station, as well as the intersection of Shanghai's major urban freeways.
Having a site area of 30,000 square metres and a gross floor area of 60,000 square metres, Shanghai Xintiandi features a multitude of specialist F&B, retail, entertainment, cultural, recreational, commercial and residential facilities in restored "Shikumen" houses- a special form of building architecture only found in Shanghai, as well as state-of-the-art new buildings, catering for both residents and visitors. Adjacent to the project is the famous "First Congress Hall". Construction of the project started in early 1999 and is scheduled for completion by mid-2001.







 
City Hotel, Shanghai
 

The Group has a 30% interest in this joint venture hotel project. This three-star international hotel has 300 guest rooms, a business center, restaurants and recreation facilities. The project was completed in 1989.






 
City Apartments, Shanghai
 

A 30-storey building comprising 92 serviced apartments and ancillary facilities including a gymnasium and an indoor swimming pool. It is linked to the City Hotel on the podium floors. Shui On owns 50% of the project.






 
Hua Wei Centre, Beijing
 

It is multi-purpose facility with shops, restaurants, offices and serviced apartments located in the prime Xidan district of Beijing. Shui On acquired 50% interest in the property in 1993.
